Glasgow City Council is now able to accept payment from various credit/debit cards. We accept payments from the following cards:
Q. Where is my 3 digit card security code?
Your 3 digit card security code can be found on the reverse of your card.
Q. How long does it take for my payment to be received?
Payment requests are subject to authorisation and clearance timescales like other payment methods. It will therefore take up to 4 working days for your payment to be received.
Q. How can I check what payment requests I have submitted?
If you are a registered user, simply log in and click on 'View payment history' located on the menu. This allows you to view all the payment requests that you have made as a registered user online.
Please note that this screen is a record of payment requests only and will not confirm successful processing of payments.
Q. Where can I find my Council Tax customer reference number?
You can find your customer reference number on any Council Tax correspondence you have received from Glasgow City Council.
On your Quickcard, your reference number can be found at the bottom right-hand corner of the card.
Glasgow City Council is now operating a new Council Tax System. This means your reference number will change however if you have an old style bill you can still use the reference number on it.
On your old style bill, the reference number can be found at the top left-hand corner above your address. You only need to enter the first 14 digits of the reference number (excluding any spaces) as illustrated below:Illustration of Old style Bill

If you have a new style bill your 9 digit reference number is located half way down the bill on the left hand side, as illustrated below.Current year payment
When making a payment for the current year you should quote the 9 digit reference number.Arrears year payment
If your payment is for an arrears year, you must quote the 9 digit reference number plus the 3 digit BILL No.
If your BILL number is only 1digit please precede this number by two zeros, e.g. BILL No. 8 you must quote 008. If your BILL number is 2 digits e.g. Bill No 18 you must quote 018. All 12 digits must run together leaving no spaces.

Q. Where can I find my Reference No?
The reference number is located midway on the left hand side of the invoice.
Q. What information do I need to give?
You are required to enter the reference number and amount as well as your card details.
Q. Where can I make enquiries about my invoice?
Payment enquiries can be made via the Treasury Section - SSCTreasury@glasgow.gov.uk. Any non-payment enquiries must be made to the relevant Department listed on the back of your Invoice, quoting your reference number.

How do I register?
The registration process is straightforward and can be conducted entirely online.
To register, click on the 'Register' button and complete the Online Registration Form. Simply follow the instructions to complete your personal details, e-mail address and a password (this should be at least 6 digits).
For security reasons, you will also be asked to enter a brief security question and answer — please make sure this is information that you can easily remember and is known only to yourself.
You will have to enter your e-mail address and password every time you want to access your profile.
Once you have completed this registration process, you can build a profile containing all your Glasgow City Council customer reference numbers. Please remember that you'll need to have the bills to hand, in order to retrieve your customer reference number.
How do I change my details?
You can amend your registration details at any time, should you wish to add a new customer reference number to your profile or delete an existing customer reference number.
Simply log in and click on the 'Change your details' located on the menu. All you have to do is amend the relevant sections and re-submit your registration. Any changes you have made will instantly be updated.
What do I do if I have forgotten my password?
Simply click on 'Forgotten Your Password?' located on the menu. You will then be prompted to enter your e-mail address. We will e-mail your password to you.
Once logged into the system you can amend your details, including your password at any time by clicking on 'Change your details' located on the menu.

The site utilises advanced levels of data encryption technology to ensure that your sensitive banking details are transmitted in a secure and confidential way.
